Trip Summary

This is the time of the year the post spawn Smallmouth and Largemouth are hitting very good. The spawn is over and they have one thing on their mind and that is putting the weight back on. June on the Susquehanna is usually a Fantastic topwater month and also a good spinnerbait time. I am also doing Largemouth trips on a local private lake. This lake provides Largemouth up to 8 pounds and very nice pickerel and calicos.

As the summer winds down the Susquehanna Smallmouth become much more aggressive. The small finesse baits that are the normal for the summer will be replaced by much bigger more aggressive baits such as Jerk Baits, Crankbaits and Spinnerbaits. This is my favorite time of the year the fall foliage is beautiful the bugs have gone away and the Smallmouth and Walleye get very hungry plus the bonus Musky become more common.
