Went 2 for 8 on tarpon back in the Tomoka River using live 5-6 inch mullet with the biggest ones being in the 30-40 lb range. We were using spinning tackle with 30 lb. flourocarbon leader and a 5/o circle hook. They are fun to fight when they're that size because they usually put on more of a show than the really big guys. I try to be very careful with tarpon and handle them gently on the side of the boat for a harmless release (hense only having action photos). The plan was actually to get offshore that day but due to the weather forecast changing last minute, plans changed but we made the best of it!!
