Trip Summary

Crushed the Spanish mackerel the past 2 days! Huge schools at times with birds working them. Mixed in was 5lb-12lb false albacores which pull like crazy! At times yesterday Spanish mackerel were being taken over a 8 mile area. I look for fishing to be good as long as we don't get a hard blow. Just bait everywhere with water up to 81 degrees.

In the boat yard right now painting the bottom installing a new stern bearing and adding a new garmin side scan fish finder. Summer is coming even though it doesn’t seem like it right now on the outer banks if NC . All of my charter trips are Ocean side and I operate out of the closest marina to the ocean, Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Only a 10 minute boat ride to be in the inlet entering the ocean.
