Trip Summary

We went out for a half day trip and before we had all the lines in the water we hooked 2 Wahoos at the same time on the short corner lures.The smaller one weighed 14 lbs and the bigger one weighed 40 lbs and it did give the angler a good fight.Later on we caught 2 skipjack tuna and trolled for about an hour with live bait but the wind and current picked up and the boat started rolling too much for livebaiting,so we put the lures back and went through other skipjack schools with no further success.

It was one of the trips where the fishes were hungry and the customers onboard and the crew alike were kept busy. We ended this trip with 6 dorados,12 skipjacks and 1 yellowfin tuna.

We were out and trying to get a fish on the line for our fishing booker guests but it just was not happening with the fishes not interested in biting at all.Luckily when almost all hope gone and with the last line remaining in the water on the way in we caught a nice sailfish.......to the delight of everybody onboard.

Our customer was very happy to catch his first ever blue marlin and biggest fish of his life so far.We went out and saw some birds working a school of skipjacks but the fishes did not bite ,we left the school and continued the lure trolling and had a blue marlin hit the long corner lure without a hookup and it came again and this time we got a good hookup and it was fight time.The angler did a very good job and the off season marlin was in the boat in a very short time. Fishing can be very surprising at times.....
