Surf fishing for kingies!

The flounder bite continues to be good. The back bays are a little spotty with a hour to two hour bite window lately. But out front (in the ocean) on the reefs, has been getting better and better. As the waters warm the fishing and species available will improve. Surf fishing has been fun! Lots of sharks and big rays right in the breakers. Kingfish, weakfish, spot, sand perch, and more have all moved in. Boat and surf trips offer something for everyone. Call to get in on the action!

Whether you like the quiet, calm waters of the back bays, or the adventure of open ocean, fishing is getting better. As the water warms and we head into summer the flounder bite is picking up. You need to put the work in, but with good technique and a little luck, you can put a solid catch together. The water out front on the reefs has been clear and blue. Flounder are already holding in their usual summer time haunts. There are also tog and sea bass (not in season) pulling on hooks. Triggerfish shouldn't be far off. And sharks have been popping up here and there. In the back the flounder are biting at different stages of the tide, and holding around various structure. So call to fet in on the action. Its only going to get better.

Casting plugs, or soaking bait, either way, the striped bass are here, feeding, and providing a ton of excitement for anglers willing to put in the time. On a recent trip I was able to land three nice sized, battling bruisers on some old school lures (bucktail, rubber shad, and a deadly dick). Some guys next to me throwing $100 glide baits did even better, landing 6 stripers and a big blue between them. Another friend was soaking clams on another beach and landed two puppy bkack drum and a striper on the same day. This Spring has been fantastic! If you haven't been out, you're missing out!
