Young Anglers Tear Up The Redfish

Trip Summary

There is nothing better than watching the excitement in kids faces as they catch a fish. Especially when they are tearing up big fish. These two young anglers and their family did just that. During their trip they caught a very impressive 19 Redfish, including some amazing over-slot sized fish. In addition we targeted and caught Snook, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and Mangrove Snapper. Great day guys! Way to slay 'em!

This fun family fished out of Venice and had an awesome morning catching great numbers of Redfish. After a quick run from the dock we put the trolling motor down and as we moved along the shoreline immediately started catching fish. For most of the morning it was a great Redfish bite mixed in with a few periods of Snook and Snappers.

What a great morning with a fun family< The kids did a great job of reeling in a bunch of Redfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum and Redfish and even left a few for the adults to reel in. After a couple hours of fishing we headed to one of the local beaches where they found a bunch of fossilized shark teeth and shells to end the day.

The cooler waters have really made the fishing great lately. This morning my clients caught a bunch of Redfish, Sheepshead, Snappers, Black Drum and even a few small Flounder as we fished our way around some structure in the south bay. Clients were looking to take home just enough fish for a meal and the rest were safely released back into the waters.
