Trip Summary
Trip Summary
10/6/19 Sunday
We have been busy the last few days, Thursday 10/3 I took Captain Greg Tanji out on the bay for some fishing. We found a little spot of biting fish and caught what we could.
Greg was second Captain/Engineer on the Royal Star and now owns the fishing boat Active 11 that will be crabbing this year.
Friday 10/4 we had a group on the boat that wanted to focus on the seabass. We caught a lot of bass, but mostly striped bass. We struggled , caught halibut, and eventually caught a few WSB and a black seabass!
Will post a picture of it when I receive it, we released it to wreck someone else gear!
Saturday 10/5 we had our regulars out for a day on the bay.
We hooked a large fish that took us around the boat and eventually gained its freedom.
Not a great start.
We made a little move and caught some halibut and stripers. when the tide was right we had a nice school come under the boat that liked our baits.
We had a good flurry and put smiles on everyone’s faces.
Sunday 10/6
We went out on the bay looking for what would bite.. We caught a lot of smooth hounds, bat rays, stripers and eventually caught a biscuit.
Now is the time to fish if you are looking to catch one of these beautiful gifts of the bay!
Don’t miss out.
We have availability on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
