Beautiful Day

Trip Summary

Today was great! I took my wife and youngest son out today and the weather was reminiscent of early spring...sunny and around 65 degrees! The highlights of our day were hearing a hog rustling around in the brush on the river bank, watching an otter swim along side the boat, and, later, seeing a dolphin out in the bay! Oh, and the smile on my son’s face as he caught the first, and only, fish of the day! Aside from those highlights, it was a tough day of fishing. The average water temperature for the day was around a 53 degrees....the fish were there but they were lethargic. However, I managed to find something they liked in a 22’ hole and we managed to get hooked up twice! Only one problem, both fish got tangled in the bottom. Well, that is fishing. I gave it my all and we still enjoyed a beautiful day!
