We fished the holiday weekend and had a variety of action. The water is starting to warm up and the fish are just waking up from the winter cold.
Leopard sharks, flounder, striped bass and sturgeon found our baits to their liking.
We had a couple of slot size sturgeon fought and lost , shaker sturgeons and the highlight of the catches was a 78” beast that was caught by a newbie Nathan.
Nathan did great work on this fish considering his largest fish prior was a 2lb trout! Not only did Nathan catch the big one, he caught his limit of stripers!
Thanks or trying the Nautilus.
The port is working on the slips right now so our next few trips will be run out of Hyde Street Marina.
There have been a few guys looking for halibut and finding one or two, with rumors of a ghost making an appearance! Hopefully a harbinger of another great season.
