Corona virus and fishing

Coronavirus and Fishing I’ve had a lot of calls the past few days asking if we are still going to be fishing. And the answer is yes. We are keeping up to date with all CDC advisories. And guess what.... a fishing trip fits the bill. It will be only your group of 2-4 people, in the open salty air of the Mississippi Gulf. The Saltwater Therapy Blazer Bay and all equipment is cleaned with bleach/water after every trip and there is also always hand sanitizer and a spray bottle of bleach/water mixture and clean rags onboard. Having a clean and safe environment for you and your family to enjoy the day is always our top priority. With schools not in session, the kids will be getting restless sitting at home. What better time than now to get them in the outdoors and catching fish. The fishing is also great right now and will only be getting better. We will be able to send you home with fresh caught, cleaned, and bagged fish ready to cook or freeze for later. Give me a call or send me a message to book your trip. Marcus

Great start to the new year.
January 1, 2020
1-1-20 Today I had my buddies son out on the water with me for a morning of fish tagging. We put the first fish of the year into the Blazer Bay shortly after day light. And that was quickly followed by Seth’s personal best Speck. A beautiful chunky 21” fish. We made steady work of tagging and releasing quality fish all morning, using up the last 25 tags I had. Once we were out of trout tags we made a move and went looking for redfish. After an hour of beating the marsh banks we had tagged and released 5 slot sized reds with the biggest being 24”. Back on the trailer and headed home by noon.

Made a solo catch and release trip this morning just to get out and enjoy a morning on the water. It ended up being one of those great fall mornings inshore we dream of all year. It seemed like every spot i pulled up to the fish were just wanting to jump in the boat. Stopped counting reds at 4 limits of keepers, many more shorts, 2 limits of keeper sheeps with a hand full of shorts, a hand full of puppy drum, maybe 20 specks that were all cookie cutter 14.5”, a ground mullet and white trout here and there, and a beautiful flounder that took a ride home with me for dinner. All on live shrimp under a cork or drop shot rigged for around structure

If you are looking to knock some of these hard fighting, fine eating fish off the bucket list. NOW is the time to do it. These trips consist of covering a lot of miles and fishing for only a few minutes at a time. But is some of the most exciting fishing we have. And OCTOBER is the month to catch a true trophy fish.
