The flounder bite has been steady for weeks now, and the size is holding with plenty of 20 inch plus fish making it to the cutting board. Additionally, our newly added afternoon "Family Fun Fishing" 3 hour trips seem very popular as an affordable option for younger and more inexperienced anglers to do some catching. Whiting, spot and a few flounder keep the rods busy while we wait for the first sharks of the season to show. Expect as the water warms for the variety and quantity of fish to expand. As we turn the page on the calender, winter has begun to set in earnest. Water temps in the 30s have slowed the bite to a trickle, but the few fish we are catching are an impressive size, including this 30 incher (released) on New Years Eve. As the north winds howl, we have begun to set the table for the coming season. A new motor, new trailer, and all-Tackle update and rigging. All this to provide the angler the highest degree of performance and reliability possible. We are seeking a historical designation for "Shadrunner" as a working waterman's vessel. She's been a great old vessel and we hope to see her for many seasons to come. Our plan is no price increase for 2025 to continue our tradition of "Affordable Family Fun Fishing".
