Trip Summary

30 minute boat ride to find the fish. The boat ride was a success. We caught mangrove snapper, lady fish, sheep head, and black drum. The black drum was the highlight of the trip. The fish fought for 20 minutes and used structure to try and snap the line. In the end, we were able to land the 37 inch bull.

Slow morning bite, had lots of short trout then the wind just died. We found a large school of black drum but only managed to land 3, so we looked for the trout in other areas and caught 2 limits in less than 30 minutes. Result: Happy customers.

We had some snook action early, but we couldn't seem to keep them hooked up. Later in the day we went sight casting for the monster black drum. Hooked 2, but only landed 1. 37" and just under 30lbs. Caught on 10lb test. Fish fought for just over 45min.
