Trip Summary

Lake Lewisville, August 5th, 2020 Half Day Morning Dan brought his grandsons Sammy, Chandler and Sean out today and it was a bit windy but fish were caught! Sammy is home on leave from the Navy this week and it was a perfect time for the family to take advantage of our "Active Duty" discount. Enough fish were put in the box for a family fish fry later this week so fishing can be a gift that keeps on giving. Right after sunrise the group found a flock of birds working fish chasing bait and it was fast and furious for several hours. Fish were once again fairly shallow and moving fast chasing bait. The Minn Kota Ulterra Riptide Trolling motor was able to fight the wind and rough water and hold the boat over the fish. What are you waiting for? So, just to keep things a little more interesting, Captain Omar took 3 coworkers out on Lake Lewisville today. The trip started at 10 am, and Joe, Robert, and Carter were exactly on time. It took a little work and a lot of looking, but when the fish were f8nally found, it was game on! The Bobo's Thumper got the fish fired up, and our RSR Lures Baits with Stinger Hooks did the rest! The trio kept 24 nice White Bass and released almost 3 times that amount. Add in the five undersized Hybrid Striper and 2 Blue Cat caught, and it was a great trip. Best of all, we left them biting! We hope to have more trips with these awesome guys when they are in town for work.

The fishing has been good for all of our guides and clients as of late on Lake Lewisville. We have had 2 and 3 boats at a time on the water with clients. This has been a huge benefit for everyone on all 3 boats. Each of our captains works together to find fish for every client and is in constant contact to give our clients the best trip possible. One of the benefits of being a guide are the relationships we establish. We made a good one today with Stan from Kansas City. Great conversation lots of laughs and had a great time catching a bunch of big White Bass from the waters of Lake Lewisville. The spring bite continues to be strong.
