Trip Summary

Geoff and his son Parker joined me today for their first time fishing for Lake Erie Walleye. We made a 20 plus mile run to the NE. We still had some waves left over from Saturday. Fortunately the angle the waves were favorable for the 242 Scout. We set dipseys on a 2 setting 85 back with BadMo Arrowheads in the 3.5 size. Blood Bath Bath and Jaw Breaker picked the entire time. TruTrip 50s were set 50 to 55 back with shallow Bomber Long As. This one has been been hot for a week. We ran 3 TruTrip 40s on Offshore boards with 2.5 BadMo Arrowheads on one side. Purple People Eater and Wackem and Stackem did their work at 80 and 85 back. On the other side we ran one Bandit 50/50 2 oz and one large Perch pattern spoon at 90 back. This one guy couldn't decide so he took both. Speed was 2.4 to 2.6 mph. #blackh2odog #bigfishtough #badmolures #lakeerie

Li and her crew did a great job filling the cooler using Off Shore Tackle Company planner boards and Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s. Reef Runner Tackle Company Reef Stalker Jr and Deep Lil Rippers 65 back 2 Oz. Flicker Minnow 11s 45 back unassisted. Steven arranged a Lake Erie Walleye Charter experience for his son's 13th birthday. We had an awesome morning on the water. We had to be back to the dock early for them to hit the road. I had to reschedule due to yesterday's blow. We had the Off Shore Tackle Company boards going back as soon as the 3rd rod was is, we took a quick 3 and then a lull. We worked a mile long stretch between the islands. Speed was 1.8 mph leads were scattered but 80 to100 seemed the best. We were all reelers today. Sutton had plan oh so close FO. Tom and Kent were back for day 2 with their Off Shore Tackle Company planner board hands on training. We had to delay for most of the day due to high winds. We left West Harbor and fished West of KI. Today we added Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s into to the mix with BADMO LURES Arrowhead spoons. 30 and 40 back on the TruTrips. Bandits were active in settings from 30 to 115. Speed was 2.0 mph. Tom and Kent were busy setting lines and retrieving boards as they went back. #bravethewaves #bigfishtough #lakeeriewalleye #offshoretackle
