Trip Summary

Interesting day today, thought I had an off day. Scrolling through FB saw a crew of 4 was cancelled by their captain. They sent out a message asking if anyone could help them out. I told them I could, so they made their way West from Conneaut. Brothers Dustin and Curtis along with friends Paul and Russell met me at the EHSPM gas dock and we headed out just before 9 am. We headed Northeast of KI, took a quick 6 Walleye and the bite slowed. We made a slight Eastwards adjustment and we were back on them. BadMo Arrowhead Spoons 2.5 size on TruTrip 40s were hot. We had several inhaled baits today. Bandits 50/60 with 2 and 3 ounces snap weights on Offshore boards were firing the on pace with the spoons. Several times we had doubles and triple. TruTrip 50s 50 back and Dipsey 3 setting 65 back both with BadMo spoons were active rods today. Great first time on Lake Erie crew. They did a great job running the back of the boat, as we had fish coming in and rods going out the entire time. Many times we had one side cleared. They had a great time ribbing each other while they worked the rods today. A fair amount of very healthy looking 12 inch Walleye out there. They are putting on some girth. Between helping them with the back of the boat and reeling in my fish, I did not get many candid pics. #blackh2odog #badmolures #bigfishtough #offshore #lakeerie

Christmas Walleye

? Christmas Charter Recap – BlackH2oDog Charters ? For Christmas, Betty gave an awesome gift—booking a two-day charter for her husband Ralph and their buddy Jeff. After a 6-hour wind delay, we finally got the green light and left West Harbor, heading east of the islands. It didn’t take long to get things rolling… A BADMO LURES Arrowhead Spoon went back on a #3 Dipsey 42 back and was instantly firing as it was set in the rod holder! As I was attaching the first Off Shore Tackle Company OR-12 planer board it was clear the attachung a board.was not necessary as it had a Walleye. At the same time, another dipsey rod buried with a solid eater-sized. Walleye on a Berkley Fishing Deep Hitstick 9 at 32/32 back. From there, it was controlled chaos—in the best way possible. It took a little work, but we got all three boards per side dialed in just as we were wrapping up our first ticket. **Program that produced:** - Boards: 30/30 and 35/35 on one side, 40/40 on the other - Corners: Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s pulling fish at 33 and 38 back I was so busy netting fish, resetting lines, and keeping the crew rolling that I unfortunately missed snapping action shots—but trust me… it was nonstop! We had their fish, on the downhill and troughed Southward to finish mine and nine more as we put the gear away. Great first day with this Cincinnati crew—looking forward to getting back after them on Day 2 ?? #BlackH2oDogCharters #WalleyeFishing #LakeErie #ChristmasGift #FishingTrip #OffshoreTackle #BerkleyFishing #BADMOLures
