Trip Summary
We’ve had a few days of almost no wind this week, both of which were booked, so we took advantage of it.
For us, trolling was tough, with just a couple baby tunas, but yellowtailing outside the reef was the ticket. They were BIG! Down here we call the big ones “flags.” They fight hard on light tackle, and you need to get’em in before a shark or ‘cuda takes a bite.
We threw dinner for six in the ice in short order on Monday, and, with only one angler Friday, put together another nice catch for the dinner table. Don’t forget your sunscreen and hat, its still sunny and hot in Key West!
