I love the trips with father and sons. They are always fun and this group didn't hold anything back! This locaL PALM HARBOR group managed to catch a break from the North west winds yesterday and we ventured out to 105' of water. The weatherman had called for seas less than 2' and we saw many 4'-5' early in the day till after lunch when the seas settled down in the 2'-3' range and the group had fish on non-stop. I can still hear the father sitting in the back of the boat every 5 minutes YELLING "GET THE GAFF!" They caught and release Red Snapper, a ton of shorts mixed in with keeper Red Grouper, a Lane Snapper were everywhere. We only made three stops on this 5 hour trip and really could have limited out at the first stop if the waves weren't so high. Looking forward to seeing this group again!
