Trip Summary

The race is on to post that first flounder here in Chincoteague. Water temperatures are flirting with the low 50's and the days grow longer and brighter. Fished 3 days this week, no bite as yet. Usually we get that first flounder around April 1. This winter was mild so we're hoping for an early start. Please keep in mind this season if you have booked a trip with us and are travelling a long distance solely for our trip, please contact me the evening before by call or text (fishingbooker offers a message option) to check on the weather forecast for our trip. This can save you a very long drive and bad feelings if we have to postpone or cancel. Deposits on weather cancellations are fully refunded.

As we roll on into the summer season, we are pleased with the popularity and results on our new "Family Fun Fishing" trips. A shorter trip (3 hours) and lower price make this an ideal trip for youngsters and first timers looking to just catch fish and have fun. Sharks are on the increase and we try to keep a big line out for them when possible. If sharks are your goal our "Shark Hunters" is the trip for you. Although the calander is filling up for the summer season there are still plenty openings available. See you on the water, Aloha!

While the flounder still shows consistently good action, we did catch and release the first real shark in Chincoteague for the 2025 season this week. A heavy Hammerhead was brought boatside and released, with another lost during the fight. As temperatures continue to warm, the action will only improve. Despite being booked up for most of June, there is availability during the third week. Check our calander for last minute availabilities.
