The Maryland DNR is taking their sweet time announcing regulations for this upcoming season. This is our best info right now... May 1 to May 15th - Rockfish must be 35 inches or over to keep. 1 per person limit. May 16 to December - Rockfish must be over 19 inches to keep. Likely limit of 2 per person on Charterboats participating in DNR real time reporting. May be regular recreational limit of 1 per person depending on DNR when announced. Summer shutdown for 15 days either last 2 weeks of July or August. No targeting of rockfish at all. Waiting on announcement. Mackeral usually show by late July. Bottom fishing for perch and spot usually pics up by end of June.
