Spring has Sprung!

Trip Summary

While fishing the last couple days has taken on a summer vibe. There was a great couple weeks of spring fishing! When the tide wasn't right for redfish in the creeks we had a ton of fun catching boat fulls of Spanish Mackerel. If requested we had no problem filling out limits with either trolling or casting jigs. There has been a big push of mullet and shrimp in the creeks recently. This means you never know what can be lurking in just a couple feet of water! With a couple tarpon sightings this week and jacks crashing bait. Plenty of wildlife around as well such as Spoonbills, Dolphins and Manatees. I expect to see many of our winter/spring fisheries like drum, sheepshead and spanish start to fade the next couple days with increasing temperatures. With that we can welcome Jacks, Ladyfish and Mangrove snappers. If your goal is redfish the next week of 5/10 your afternoon trip looks like the best shot if you can withstand the heat. If you are unsure feel free to send me an inquiry and I will get you set em on a high probability day. We are also excited to announce that we will be adding a new vessel to the fleet at the end of this month. A Pair Marine 24 deep V, with an overall length of 28' it will open up a plethora of options for nearshore, offshore and river fishing with groups of 4 or 5. Equipped with a half tower, meaning Captain Joe can gain an extra vantage point above sea level to enhance your sight fishing or viewing experience! Set up with a single 300 Suzuki outboard and Humminbird/Minnkota electronics we will get to our destination quickly, efficiently and quietly. Unless you decide to jam out to the sound system!
