I decided to get caught up on my fishing trips reports as I know it’s important even if I am so busy.. I can tell you this has been one of those years where you can run to a spot, over several weeks, and get fish. That is unusual but I am glad! We are catching lots lots of big fish, and one trip the parents had the youngster reeling in big fish, taking a long time, and that takes up valuable fishing time, but their choice. These stripers are awesome fighters, the reason I use 40 pound line and heavy leaders. Limits are 10 fish per person, 2 over 20 inches, and when trolling with big rigs, it’s almost every fish is over 20 inches! We lost a real big fish recently, which completely tore up the entire rig, but was it fun! School has started so bookings slowed some but gives me time to work on my Operation Welcome Home, combat warriors fishing trip in October. 40 soldiers come to enjoy a weekend fishing.
