Yesterday was a great day on the Hoodoo Boat! We had a 12-Hour Charter with Formula Boats Management Team Josh, Abe and Ron. Snotty seas forced us to put lines in a little early 118ft and work our way out to deeper water. We picked up 6 nice Mahi up to 21lbs on our way out to deeper water. In 120 feet we missed a really nice Sailfish. As we wandered out to the ledge (roll down to deeper water) we got a tip from Captain Chris Lettow that he had an excellent Mahi Bite in 500 feet. We pulled lines and ran out. 15 Minutes after putting lines in 565 feet, we hooked up with Blue Marlin. 25 Minutes later Ron released his first ever Blue Marlin. This Small or “Rat” Blue was a great fight and was released healthy and angry to fight another day! Don’t settle…Fish HooDoo!
