Trip Summary

Lots of rain rain rain! But the bite has been incredible. I've been guiding primarily on my 17' Seastrike but have also been guiding off of some other vessels. There have been days where the fish don't stop biting... and all in the rain I might add. For some reason this time of year the localized low pressure rainstorm cells that meander through the everglades and Florida bay turn on the fish like crazy. Snooks are the dominating species this time of year but you'll also find reds tailing on the flats during low tides and a good snapper bite as well. The No-Motor-Zones this time of year are absolutely amazing. Almost indescribable fishing. Fishing that if you told someone else they would not believe you. Most of the migrating tarpon have left and are around Jacksonville right now on the East coast can't say for sure on the West coast. We still have plenty of resident tarpon all around though. This is a great time of year to book a trip just remember to bring a rain jacket and you'll be ready for a stellar time.
