Trip Summary
Last night I received a call from a group that just had their charter canceled. I offered to help them out providing there were no thunderstorms in the AM.
They wanted some Walleye to fill a new cooler they purchased. They also had a short 4 hour window to fish.
We had an early AM rain cell with lightning that brought out a special marine warning until 7AM.
That cell passed to the North of us and Carson, Gavin,
Ocean, Allie jumped aboard BlackH2oDog and we headed 18 miles to the East.
Upon arrival we set Bandits 140 back with 2oz. Boards were before 3 rod was being set the 1st Eye was on its way in.
Bandits 65 back on TruTrip 50 were strong as well.
Bomber Long As on Dipsey 3 setting 80 back.
We worked a straight line troll for 1.5 hours at 2.3 mph.
We picked 17 Eyes for them before we needed to run back for the Harbor for our 4 hour time.
The waves grew as we headed West. We went through a heavy rain for a short time.
Mission accomplished, Walleye for the new cooler and back in time for their afternoon plans.
Managed to avoid the Water Spout the boats to our West observed.
Crew had a crash course in setting boards. They did awesome keeping the rod spread in order.
