FISHING & WHALE WATCHING IN QUEPOS COSTA RICA Chris & Amy joined us aboard GOOD DAY yesterday and what a beautiful day it was out there. We started great catching a Dorado, a nice Tuna and losing a Sailfish mid fight. We left the Tuna biting and decided to focus the remainder of the day trying to catch Chris his first Billfish. We worked hard, covered some lovely areas of bait all afternoon but despite best efforts we could just not find another Billfish. It was a nature lovers dream out there, as we seen all manner of sea birds, Turtles, Dolphins, Flying Fish, Manta Rays, Brydes Whales, Humpback Whales and even a Sea Snake. We seen perhaps 6 Brydes Whales throughout the day and were treated to a mother & baby humpback whale breaching clear out of the water to finish up the day. Incredible stuff. It is just amazing to be out there even when the fishing slows up a bit. Heading back out there again this morning, let’s see what today has in store!
