Lake Tawakoni August 31st Tonja decided to take her husband Eric on a guided fishing trip for his birthday. Turns out they came all the way from Lubbock because a friend recommended Luck O' The Irish to her. They mainly fish for Largemouth Bass and seemed a bit surprised to catch as many fish as they did in a 4 hour time span. We started the day fishing for Stripers again and it turned out slow for the second day in a row. Captain Omar decided to try something different than trolling Hellbenders and that turned out to actually work. Earlier this year we purchased some MAL Lures from Bob Maindelle of Holding the Line Guide Service and these baits caught White Bass for a solid hour and a half on almost every cast! There is a close up of Eric holding a Magnum White Bass and the MAL so you can see it. After we had their limit of White Bass we tried the Stripers again and this time we got them pretty good. We caught 3 stripers and 1 Hybrid Striper, lost another fish at the boat and had one break a hook! The Keitech USA Easy Shiner Minnow was the trick again! It was a great morning with a great couple.
