Trip Summary
The 3rd & final day of our Drake Bay/Osa Peninsula trip with Kevin, Peter, María & Joe from Ireland/England seen us take the Offshore route home as we travelled back to Marina Pez Vela Quepos in time for sunset.
We caught 3 nice Pompanos at the Offshore reef and lost 2 other nice fish which were probably Amberjacks. Peter then caught a nice Sailfish 120’ down on a live Sardine whilst bottom fishing which gave him a cracking fight on the light spinning gear.
We switched things up to trolling & got on a nice Sailfish bite releasing 5 Sailfish from 7 fish raised over the next couple of hours. Boats were hooked up all around us and it was great to see a good amount of fish in the área, mainly Sailfish and Dorado with a few Marlin mixed in. Great to get some tags deployed for Gray FishTag Research
A highly successful 3 day trip in the books and we will be heading back down to OSA again in a couple of weeks with Martin & Jessica from England.
We are heading Offshore today & tomorrow with Tim, wish us luck! ?
