4/18/2022 Today was one of those days that I will not soon forget. I had the day off and my daughter said she wanted to go fishing. She loves the sport and even had me build her a rod several months ago. She picked out all the colors and we have been putting it to good use. Today we headed down towards “the lakes” area and found a nice finger channel to setup shop. She was picking her own livebaits out of the well and helping me put them on the hook. As she was freelining out the bait the reel began to scream and she was yelling for help. We managed to close the bail in time and slowly work this solid Mutton to the boat with a little bit of help from dad. She caught some solid Mangrove Snappers, Yellowjacks and we even jumped a Tarpon while waiting for the chum to start flowing. An awesome day in Key West, FL aboard FloAlong Charters.
