Trip Summary
In the last few days we have been tracking down schools of porpoise where Tuna have been feeding right alongside them. There are a couple of small schools rounding up 8 to 12 miles west of Cabo. For special arrangements we make it 20 to 35 or 40 miles offshore looking for a good school of good sized tuna over 20lbs. Once we get close we watch them feed to decide how to start fishing for them. We will cast, troll, or topwater jig, dead bait, live bait, kingbusters, hoochies, plugs, lures, or fly the kite with a flying fish. For Mahi we are catching them close to the shore from a mile off the arch all the way to los arcos, margarita, and migriño. Marlin bite has been good from the lighthouse to the golden gate trolling lures, pitching bait, and trolling rigged dead bait. Wahoo bite slowed down we are seeing our lures with wahoo teeth marks, no hookups yet. Few boats fishing inshore and bottom.
