We recently moved from San Juan Bay to the Laguna Torrecilla/San Jose which was ranked one of the top 10 spots for tarpon fishing. Why? Our vast lagoon is perfect for marine life, providing infinite sources of bait all year round for our resident fish. Contrary from San Juan Bay which you would encounter average of 15-25lb tarpon, in the lagoons we encounter 60-90lb tarpon. So get your big boy pants on and come fishing with Backwater Tarpon PR!

The day started as a regular Tarpon Fishing Charter but the water was so calm that we couldn't resist the urge to go offshore fishing! Great day! Great action! Caught some blackfin, yellowtails, mahi and fought a big wahoo for a while! At the end he managed to spit the hook!! Maybe next time!
