Spring fishing is Great. I have bigger chance of catching that record fish, striper, trolling with rigs I make myself. It has limitations as I can only troll 4 at a time but worth the effort. Going to live bait soon as it fast but somewhat smaller fish with occasional large one. It all fun! Fishing at its best, most time a limit of 10 fish per person, but mainly lots fun/enjoyment for all!
