Trip Summary

Today was a helping day at OSU's Lake Erie Sportfishing Class at Stone Laboratory. Ashley and David were my students Eric Hirzel Sr. had another pair of anglers. Lake Erie provided an abundance of Walleye for us today. Being a class we ran multiple programs to shown the variety of methods that can be used to bring Walleye to the boat. We started off with Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 40s and 50s running spoons. Once we dialed in the spoon leads, we added Ripplin Redfins and Shakey Shads to the TT 40s. Dipsey 3 setting 38 back with Colorado harnesses took several nice Eyes. Great day sharing Lake Erie with these students. Raymarine Autopilot remote got a lot of work today as the boat traffic was a bit heavy for a weekday. After catching David and Ashley went to work cleaning their Lake Erie bounty. #blackh2odog #lakeeriefishing #dayinthelifewithraymarine

Li and her crew did a great job filling the cooler using Off Shore Tackle Company planner boards and Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s. Reef Runner Tackle Company Reef Stalker Jr and Deep Lil Rippers 65 back 2 Oz. Flicker Minnow 11s 45 back unassisted. Steven arranged a Lake Erie Walleye Charter experience for his son's 13th birthday. We had an awesome morning on the water. We had to be back to the dock early for them to hit the road. I had to reschedule due to yesterday's blow. We had the Off Shore Tackle Company boards going back as soon as the 3rd rod was is, we took a quick 3 and then a lull. We worked a mile long stretch between the islands. Speed was 1.8 mph leads were scattered but 80 to100 seemed the best. We were all reelers today. Sutton had plan oh so close FO. Tom and Kent were back for day 2 with their Off Shore Tackle Company planner board hands on training. We had to delay for most of the day due to high winds. We left West Harbor and fished West of KI. Today we added Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s into to the mix with BADMO LURES Arrowhead spoons. 30 and 40 back on the TruTrips. Bandits were active in settings from 30 to 115. Speed was 2.0 mph. Tom and Kent were busy setting lines and retrieving boards as they went back. #bravethewaves #bigfishtough #lakeeriewalleye #offshoretackle
