The Rock On Report Middle Bay Fishing. Stripers AKA “Rockfish” Current PLUS Structure = ROCK FISH Top water is working and still using the 3”-4” paddle tails on ¼ oz G-EYE jigs. It’s a very early bite, but if you can catch a good tide current, they will be active most anytime of the day. Perch Docks…The bigger ones are there. Some are on the oyster beds, but docks throwing small rattle traps or spinner baits have gotten the best fish. We have not been getting very many off the docks while bottom fishing. Spot We had a good week catching medium to big spot. The “rockfish candy” size are still being caught a ton, but some good eating sizes were coming in the boat this week. We did catch a couple 14” flounder this week!! Blues and Mackerel A few blues have made it up, still no “MACS” yet caught or seen. Cobia and Redfish Nothing this far up yet.
