Trip Summary

After a slow end to August and start of September, the walleye bite has been better than anticipated for a couple of weeks now. Cooler temperatures have bait and some fish starting to make the fall migration north towards the river. From now until ice up, we should expect to have mostly decent days of walleye fishing and as it gets colder it will only get better.

Most were tricked by a simple leech or crawler pulled around underwater structure. June is on deck and is quite possibly the best month of the year most years. Still plenty of openings for your opportunity to try fishing Lake Pepin.
