Tis the season of change. My clients enjoyed a great summer of Fluke fishing. Thank you to all that booked me. Air temperatures are dropping, water temperatures are dropping, and the cooler water fish are starting to show. Tautog are chewing, always tricky, and fun to catch. They're here now. While you can only keep one at the moment, the bag limit increases in mid-November. Everybody's darling the Striped Bass are starting to show and fishing for them improves every day. Drifting live bait, throwing top-water, jigging or soaking bait while at anchor, I can think of no other fish that ticks all the boxes like Striped Bass. Hard fighting, great tasting, back bay or ocean....they're the ultimate game fish here.
