This day started out with a 3-4 pounder on the first cast. Of course I thought it was game on! Nope. Things got real quiet for about an hour and the fishing guide pucker was on. We literally caught one fish at every stop then nothing. Well that's fishing,the worst phrase to a guide ever. Around 11 o'clock someone rang the dinner bell starting with an 11 that put on a show batting a 10 inch shiner in the air before pounding it. We wound up doing well with an additional 9 and one young ladies first fish ever. That's one of my biggest joys. Water temp is currently 63.5. There's quite a bit of vegetation floating around that can block some good spots but, that changes with the wind direction. Fishing only gets better from here through winter as far as your best chance for double digit fish.
