Trip Summary
Greetings A2 New and Return Customers,
Catching up on some of my fishing reports, as it has been a very busy December. I recently had Ms. Melina and her husband Kevin aboard, again. We sat at the dock for about 30 minutes on this day and waited to see some passing storms bring quite a bit of rain through the area, but once the rain flowed through- we went right to work!
Within a short distance from the dock and with about 45 minutes left of the rising tide, we hit our first stop. To my, and everyone's surprise, we began sinking corks almost immediately! Melina, Kevin and I each boated Redfish almost immediately all of which were released safely to fight another day.
After getting a good Redfish fix, I did a solid run east to find Kevin a requested Snook. After making several stops, and diligently casting for a good Snook, we were not very successful so I decided to switch species to Sheepshead.
We made another solid run East, and made one stop for the elusive Sheep! It was almost immediately, that we boated 5 or more good Sheeps! Again, all of which Ms. Melina and Kevin threw back to fight another day.
After a brief attempt at Speckled Trout, we were weren't seeing the action we wanted so I made one last ditch effort at our Snook.
I ran to one of my tried and trough Snook spots, and worked hard at it with many varieties of baits. Live shrimp, soft plastics, and the like. With about five minutes left on the charter, Melina then Kevin both boated some nice Snook- relieved was an understatement, we made it happen!
