Great bite, Nicer weather!
September 23, 2022
Greetings A2 fans. With a welcomed chill in the air, our best time of the year approaches! But the bite has already stepped up.. Recently we have welcomed aboard Redfish, Tripletail, and abundant Snook aboard! Such was the case on a recent trip with return customer William. On day one of a two day adventure, William and I set out from the world famous Caribbean Club in Key Largo. On this day, we set our sight on Snapper, Snook and maybe some Redfish! Our morning went off GREAT as planned, and within 15 minutes into our first stop, Williams boated his limit of Gray Snapper, keeping none, but simply enjoyed the fierce fight of these feisty dudes!! Having filled his Snapper urge, we ventured from Key Largo waters and into the Flamingo Everglades. At our second stop, we picked up quite the mixed bag; Shepshead, Snapper, Snook, Trout and others... As I waited for the tide to come in, we sight casted to a school of Tripletail, none of which were smaller 20 inches! In short order we boated four, released two, and brought two back for an amazing TT dinner later that evening (One was 12 lbs and the other 8). On our way back, and on a hunch I stopped at a spot that hadn't been good since last season. Well, on this day, and although it took a while to materialize, William and I boated a 1/2 dozen, ALL upper slot Redfish. Keeping none. Day 2 two brought us more Snook that we could count. No tripletail. And another great showing by our friends the Redfish. Book with us today! Before our open slots close. Ps. As always we offer military and first responder discounts. Also, booking multiple days will get you a nice discount as well. See y'all on the water.

Tarpon time.
June 12, 2021
We are excited about Tarpon season here in South Fl. As the weather becomes more humid, and we work each day to avoid rain showers, we all know it's Tarpon time. Although a "dry" summer season has unfolded so far, we've found a reasonable amount of good fish. On a recent trip, we took to the Everglades back country in search of the mighty "silver king" and found some in the 10-50 lb class on our first stop. We threw some live baits and soft plastics to them, and were surprised with how they took more to the artificials. In just a few moments we "jumped" four, and brought one "to the hand" after a solid fight! In typical tarpon fashion we got many acrobatic leaps, solid runs and lighting quick direction changes before she came to the hand. We have some dates left in late July, come aboard today to take advantage of this summer pattern today. Book A-Squared Charters today.

Three tailed friends are back!
May 8, 2021
Hello A2 fans. Glad to be able to share a report, as we have been extremely busy! So thankful for the many return clients and referrals we've had this season. After a nasty winter, by Florida standards, our weather is not starting to settle. Our days are still pleasant, but our summer season is coming... We had a solid stretch with a good Redfish bite and although it has slowed, out triple tail are slowly trickling in. The picture attached is our returning client Jennifer with the first and what I suspect will be our best for a while. It tipped the scale at 12 lbs! Jennifer fought this fish with pure excellence, and brought it boat side. We are excited for our annual Redfish spawn, when our Redfish stick to tight schools...this provides our anglers the opportunity to catch many Redfish in one stop! Book with us today, and hook into a great spring bite!

Spotty weather, GOOD bite.
October 25, 2020
Greetings A2 current and future clients. This month has dealt us a weather challenge, with unseasonably wet conditions, but we've worked hard to keep our ice chest with good fish in it. On a recent trip, we zipped into the Glades on our new Pathfinder and found a good Redfish bite. Sprinkled in have been Tarpon, juvenile Snook and some Trout. We've spent most of our days throwing the best popping corks in the industry- Four horsemen.. paired with 1/4 jigs and soft plastic baits. Our fishing now is good and we are anticipating our first cold fronts, and with them the migration of trophy black drum and other species. See y'all on the water. Capt A2.

Gold fish!
September 26, 2020
A2 fans. We are excited to share we have a NEW Pathfinder 2300 Bay Boat! (See photos attached). This vessel can comfortably fish FOUR folks! Our weather has begun to change, and our favorite time of the year to be outside is QUICKLY approaching. Contact us to book your trip today! Currently, we are finding good size Redfish (Red drum) very close to home but also within a short boat ride from the ramp as well. We are looking for two major areas to target, first, are the classic mangrove shorelines and second are marked channels adjacent to grass flats. Each of these zones are hit at different tides, we prefer the mangrove scenario on a rising or the first few hours of the dropping tide. Whereas the channel scenario I prefer to do on the last three hours of a dropping tide. In either scenario, we are sticking to our tried and true soft plastic bait rig.. We prefer GULP shrimp imitation patterns in as natural a color as you can find. We are throwing these with a popping cork rig with LOTS of success! All in all, our fishing weather will only get better and we know the fishing will do the same just as soon as we begin getting our first few winter blasts! See y'all on the water!

Triple tail and other species, on fire !
May 23, 2020
Greetings from the South Florida Everglades. *We are practicing structured cleaning practices to ensure our boat and equipment are safe and clean* Currently, we are on large schools of Red fish and Triple tail as well. For Red fish, we are working grass flats on the higher tides but also channels running off of the flats (on the lower tides) and are achieving great success with large schools. The most productive Triple tail action seems to be near the gulf beaches, with the largest concentrations near floating seaweed. Redfish and Tripletail both are taking to artificial baits such as shrimp imitations and paddle tails, the colors vary but lighter colors are currently working best. On a recent trip (picture attached), my clients Julio and father Julio slammed 20+ Redfish and 10+ Triple tail all on a full day charter. All in all, we are capitalizing on an epic bite at this time, we encourage you to book today as our calendar is filling up into June and July. ** Capt Armando is a Florida native and has fished the South Fl Everglades over the past 20 years. Capt runs his business with his clients best interests in mind, takes pride in customer service and thrives on teaching his clients what he has learned in his guiding career.
