Trip Summary

Charter boat Best Catch out of MarineMax in Venice, FL reports African Pompano, big Yellowtail snapper, and golden tilefish caught out deep in **hidden content** foot. A 58lb Wahoo was brought back to the dock by another boat. They caught it only 30 miles out over hard bottom as it came up in their chum slick. Blackfin tuna are feeding 20 miles out and deeper. The Kingfish bite is here and is on fire in 40-60 foot as well as the Spanish mackerel. Trolling or chumming with freelined live bait has been working well! We have been catching limits of Red Grouper to 14lbs in 80-115 feet as well as nice lane snapper to 3 lbs and mangrove snapper to 6 lbs. Amberjack also caught to to 25lbs, but not as many around. Barracuda caught to 30lbs. Cobia still patrolling wrecks. Around the jetties pompano being caught in the mornings as well as Spanish mackerel, sheepshead, snook and bluefish.
