Trip Summary

Launched out of Conn Brown Harbor in Aransas Pass, Tx. Wind was blowing 15-25 mph w/ gusts to 35+ so we decided to stay in a protected area targeting shallow grass fishing sand pockets along the La Quinta Channel. With the new trout limit now (3) fish in the 15-20" range, we had no issues catching a 2 man limit along with good healthy 25" trout. All fish were caught on popping corks w/ live shrimp.

Met my College Station (whoop) clients at Conn Brown boat ramp in Aransas Pass, Tx. Made a little trip to Shamrock Island in Corpus Christi bay. Picked up a few decent trout and then had 2 boats come up on us. Guys asked to go fornsome reds so we hopped over to Pink Shack Cove where it was non stop red action with a few bonus flounder. Met group at the St. Charles Bay boat ramp in Rockport, Texas. We made a little run to Mesquite Bay where we started off the afternoon in Bray Cove. Lots of bait present in Bray but no size to the fish. We continued working the shorelines up towards Ayres Dugout where we started seeing better fish & released a few oversize trout with the biggest one going 25". Customers kept a few for dinner.
