Trip Summary

Weather Conditions: Conditions in Cabo San Lucas look promising for fishing this week. Sunny skies with average cloud cover of 0% are forecast throughout the period. Temperatures will range from comfortable highs in the 70s to cool mornings in the low 60s. Winds will be averaging around 10 knots with occasional gusts reaching 18 knots the wind will be blowing south along the pacific side with most days calm and almost no wind on the sea of cortez due to wind shadow. These calm waters and clear skies are ideal for spotting and catching fish inshore and a few miles out into deep waters. **Species:** Striped Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Striped Bonita, Sierra Mackerel, Yellowtail **Fishing Highlights:** **Striped Marlin:** Sightings are a daily occurrence, yet their elusive nature means they often shadow lures and baits without engaging. From the lighthouse stretch to Pozo Cota, and occasionally near the Arch and towards the Sea of Cortez, they make their presence known. However, the bite is slow at the Golden Gate, and other offshore spots have not been very productive. **Tuna:** Schools of Yellowfin Tuna are a very rare sight with current water temperatures keeping them out of range. **Mahi Mahi:** While the Mahi Mahi catch has been less abundant compared to previous weeks, anglers are still reeling in a few of these vibrant fish inshore and several miles offshore. Trolling with lures and bait continues to be an effective method, especially when targeting Marlin, leading to occasional Mahi Mahi hookups as well **Additional Information:** Roosterfish continue to actively bite along the inshore stretch from El Pedregal to Diamante. The variety in catches persists, with sierra being hooked regularly, occasional amberjack north of Cabo, and both Marlin and Mahi Mahi making their presence known in the area. Despite the changing weather conditions, our experienced crews are prepared to make the most of the opportunities presented. We'll continue to venture out. **Tips:** To enhance your fishing experience, aim for an early start to take advantage of the freshest bait, as those who depart the Marina first often have the best selection. Utilizing live and properly rigged medium-sized baits has proven effective. Maintaining your tackle in top-notch condition and regularly checking your rigging are key factors in achieving a high catch rate. Prepare your gear and anticipate a memorable fishing journey in the waters of Cabo San Lucas!
