Day #1 of 3: This group booked the full day wade fishing along with lodging at the RockiN R Cottage. The cottage is a 3/2 home that can accommodate up to 6 guests. Met my group of waders at Goose Island State Park in Rockport, Tx for day #1, we headed out to Ayres Bay where I have seen lots of bait present. Winds were from the SE at 10-15 mph & picked up throughout the day. We started the morning off at Ayres Reef & worked our way towards the Dugout during the major feeding. Lots of fish but with new regulations on came up with 1 keeper. We then moved to Second Chain of Islands for the minor feeding where we picked up some quality fish once the winds picked up. Smaller profile baits, Lil Johns were the ticket to a productive day. Started morning off throwing lighter colors (Bone, Molting) and as wind picked up and water got a little dirtier, we swapped over to our darker colors (Plum, Tx Roach, Magic grass, Watermelon Red, Golden Bream).
