Trip Summary

Swift, roiled waters from last week's rains made fishing the main Chickamauga river ledge challenging, but we caught a few fish in the bays where conditions have improved somewhat. Most fish were taken trolling small crankbaits.

A beautiful day on Lake Chickamauga yielded a variety of species, including some nice 13-14 inch crappie. All fish were trolled using jigs and crankbaits trolled at 12-16 foot depths over submerged creek flats in 18-20 FOW.

A multi-strategy approach (pushing and pulling jigs and crankbaits, tightlining minnows) resulted in a mix of crappie , spotted bass, largemouth bass, white bass, yellow bass, and bluegill today. Total fish count today was well over 40.
