Trip Summary

Today was a special day with Daniel, Daniel and Daniel. 3 generation crews are a blast. This crew alwasy sets me up for a stress free day they say bring home fish is a bonus. We have had some difficult fishing days together. Tough bites, windy weather, long runs, full moons... They always want to learn something new to take back to their own boat. Today we ran east and started our day Drifting and Casting with intentions to switch to trolling. Once we set down we all caught a few on casting harnesses. As the sun got higher, we switch to BADMO LURES Arrowhead spoons on Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 40s and 50s. This crew never ran Big boards but they quickly learned how fast the action could be. Several times the Eyes had all the board rods in the boat. Dipsey Diver 3 setting and TruTrip 50s were run 63 back with FJ7s, Jointed Flicker Shad and Badmo Spoons. We were all reelers today and got a little catch and release in as the morning progressed. Speed was 2.3 #seewhatsoutthere #blackh2odog #lakeeriewalleye #fatherandson #3generations

With the 25 mph overnight winds, we opted to delay our start to just after 10 am. I picked up Mike and Holly at the East Harbor Marina office and we headed of in search of clean water. This was their first time on Lake Erie. We ran to the line and set our Off Shore Tackle Company planner boards with Reef Runner Tackle Company Deep Lil Rippers 65 back 2oz. Offshore OR 12 boards with Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 40s running BADMO LURES Arrowhead spoons 40 and 55 back. On the corners we ran TruTrip 50s 30 and 45 back with J7s and Jointed Flicker Shad. Dipsey 3 setting 30 and 42 back. Speed was 2.1 mph into and with the waves. We were all reelers today. We fun fished for a bit after our 18 were on Ice. We still have Sunday and Monday available. #BlackH2oDog #lakeeriewalleye #marblehead #lakeside #portclinton

Greg, Tom, Tony Jr fish with me a couple of times each season, this time Tony Sr joined the group. A bit of chilly start for June 1. We had a Nascar day, one big left turn around Kelley's Island. We started on SE corner and finished North of the State Park. We really had no marks that were worth turning back on. Off Shore Tackle Company OR-12s with Reef Runner Tackle Company Deep Lil Rippers 70 back 2oz. We ran 2 boards with BADMO LURES Arrowhead spoons behind Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 40s 55 back. Dipsey 3 setting 36 to 45 back a d TruTrip 50s with J7s 30 to 50 back. Speed 2.1 to 2.3mph. Always a great time with this crew. #BlackH2oDog #lakeeriewalleye #kelleysisland #portclinton #walleye

Vanessa reached out for an Island pick-up Walleye Experience for her two sons. They are on the Island by way of Arkansas to assist with snake counting this weekend. After picking up at KI, we headed SE of KI and set our gear. Girvan and Eamon got a workout today constantly setting the Off Shore Tackle Company OR-12 boards and the Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s on the corners. Program was Reef Runner Tackle Company Deep Lil Rippers 70 back assisted 2oz and unassisted 70 back. TruTrip 50s with J7s 30 and 50 back. Dipsey 3 setting 36 and 42 back. We also ran 2 TruTrip 40s on the Starboard side 50 back behind Offshore boards with BADMO LURES Arrowhead spoons. We handled well over 50 Walleye this morning.
