Had a few clients out for a day of fishing on Saturday. They were in town to take in the Buccaneers vs Packers game. They decided to check out what Tampa Bay fishing was all about. We started our day targeting trout while we waited for the tide to come in. We landed over 20 trout in less than an hour. We then decided to try to target redfish on docks since the tide wasn't high enough to target them on the flats. We managed a few small redfish, but I knew there were much bigger ones to be had. We fished a few docks before we put the Ranger on plane and headed to the flat I knew was holding bigger redfish. Once we arrived it wasn't long before we landed our first redfish, a nice 25" fish. Over the next hour we landed over 10 redfish ranging from 25" to the biggest one, an 30 inch and over 9lb fish! We also landed 6 snook, biggest one being 27", what a great day, I'm pretty sure that Tampa Bay did not disappoint them.
