The water has cooled down and fall is just around the corner. That means prime season for King Salmon has arrived. We have been catching large King and Coho Salmon in shallow water and the rivermouth the last week. The morning and afternoon trips have been producing excellent catches. We have been trolling a mixture of spoons and plugs and the action has been hot and heavy!

We were able to complete the Great Lakes Grand Slam today! 5 different species all caught during one 7 hr. Ultimate Salmon Trip. We caught King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead and Lake Trout. Not only did we complete the Grand Slam our two customers limited out with 5 fish each!

Spring salmon fishing is excellent so far for the start of our 2024 season. There has been great double digit catches of healthy spring king salmon. Mostly small to medium 2-10lb. fish with a few in the high teens and low 20 lbs. here and there mixed in. Fishing offshore in the 40-120 ft. of water while trolling spoons has been the best
