8-20-24 Marquette County Fall Fishing is around the corner, Fish in inland lakes are holding late summer patterns and water temps are still high. Walleye and Pike have been in 11-17 feet sitting in cooler water near shallow vegetation flats. As temps cool off and autumn rain feeds the rivers King salmon will be heading upstream. These giants of the Great Lakes will soon dominate nearly every section of water that connects to Lake Michigan. Lake Trout fishing near Marquette Michigan will be in its prime as the fall leaves turn and trout head to their near shore spawning grounds and rock reefs. Salmon Fishing starts sept 15th and inland lake Walleye and Pike fishing continue through November 1st.
