It's getting good. The fish are arriving. We've been fishing for fluke, squid, and blues. Stripers any day now for me. Weather is getting warmer. Now I know the economy has some of us worried, the uncertainty about the future. But I say what better way to shed some of this worry than a fishing trip. The ocean has a way of helping us reset, realign. Catch a fish, watch the sea roll past.

We've had some wind. But when we have been able to get out the fishing has rarely been disappointing. People, even those who never fish, have been really enjoying these fall bottom trips. Blackfish are a real crowd favorite---the pull like a Mack truck and are delicious to eat.

We"ll it took me some time but I finally got in the water. Lots of new things on the boat, from new fuel tanks to an autopilot. I've been fishing 4 times the past seven days. Fishing, for the most part, has been good. Not every tide has been good but we mange to catch fish and have fun every time we go out. Bass and fluke have been the staples. It feels good to be underway for the season. Thanks to all who have booked with me so far. I look forward to meeting all of you. John.
