Headed out to just go for a boat ride. No real plans of fishing and only had 1 rod in the boat. On my way in i saw a flock of birds working over a reef in 6 feet of water. I stopped 100 yards upwind of where the birds were diving. As soon as i shut the motor off i heard the unmistakeable sound of trout popping the water. I tied a jig on and caught 10 14.5" trout pretty quick. Figuring there were bigger fish mixed in. I tied on a topwater lure, bigger bait bigger fish right. I caught 6 17-18" trout in 8 casts. While i was unhooking the 6th fish some dolphins moved in and shut the bite down. Had just enough to cook a nice dinner at home.
