Leaving the slip at 7:30 AM we stopped to pick up some Sardines for bait and check out all the Sea Lions in the harbor. About 30 on a dock just for 4 them. Within 15 minutes of leaving the Harbor we came upon a large pod of Common Dolphin feeding. WE spent time watching and taking pictures. We then travelled for about 20 more minutes to fish for Rockcod in 350' of water off Carlsbad. We caught three different varies of Rockcod all great eating. Then tried for Bass but because of Red Tide no biters in Carlsbad. Moved back to Oceanside area, no Red Tide but the fish are good at stealing your bait so no keepers. Just a fun Day on the water.
